Introducing the InsectoCage, the breeding cage solution from InsectoCycle for mass-producing black soldier fly eggs. Our air distribution technology optimizes airflow in the dark chamber which can be connected to our light cage in a modular fashion. This allows for growth of larvae from as early as 5 days, all the way through pupation and egg-laying. The Insecto-Control Unit ensures optimal conditions are maintained throughout the entire rearing period, and with a direct connection to an HVAC unit, the building housing the cage does not require special conditions. Climate control
By pressurizing the air we create turbulent air which ensures that all larvae experience even growing conditions. Resulting in constant and stable yields.
Optimized light chamber
We have been perfecting our light chamber for years to get the most succesful matings. We found the optimum light spectrum and climate settings. The Insecto-Control Unit ensures that this climate is available 24/7.
Suited to accomodate all life stages
The InsectoCage is able to accomodate the larvae from as young as 5 days and grow them all the way untill they pupate into flies. Our modular setup allows breeding to start from all lifestages.
Data monitoring
The Insecto-Control Unit constantly gathers data from the sensors and uses it to adjust the fans and valves. This results in optimal breeding conditions for the larvae and flies.
Integrated egg-collector
The egg-collector is our solution to provide the females with a place to lay their eggs. It is integrated into the cage: using this system 200 grams of eggs can be harvested within a minute. The egg-collector is subsequently used in the nursery and ensures a high egg hatching rate.
Worker safety
The InsectoCage is designed with completely closed-off dark and light chambers, which not only create an ideal environment for the larvae and flies but also eliminates potential health hazards for humans. This means you can focus on your breeding project without worrying about anything else.
